Blansko

   Blansko is a small picturesque town located in Southern Moravia in the Czech Republic, upon the River Svitava, in a territory of the protected area of the Moravian Karst. The town covers an area of 48.38 km2; it is inhabited by about 21000 people; it was granted civic right in 1905. It is a tourist town with its main attraction of numerous caves and the Macocha [stepmother] ravine featuring beautiful stalactites and stalagmites. Most of which can only be reached by boat.
