Legnica is a strong educational centre of the region, providing services at the higher than basic level to the inhabitants of Legnica, as well as to the municipalities of the Legnica County and the surrounding smaller towns. In addition to general education which prepares the youth for the continuation of higher education, the vocational education at the technical and stage I sectoral schools is equally well developed.

In the school year 2023/24, technicians provide education in 34 professions: electronics technician, electrician, graphics and digital printing technician, IT technician, mechatronics technician, car vehicle technician, mechanical technician, rail transport technician, rail vehicle technician, equipment and systems technician renewable energy technician, metallurgical industry technician, advertising technician, forwarding technician, landscape architecture technician, construction technician, finishing works technician in construction, logistics technician, veterinary technician, farmer technician, analytical technician, food technology technician, nutrition and catering services technician, service technician waiter technicians, stylist technicians, hairdressing service technicians, photography and multimedia technicians, sales technicians, welding technicians, economist technicians, accounting technicians, port and terminal operation technicians, hotel technicians, and tourism organization technicians, automation technician (only in a private school).

1st degree trade schools educate in 20 professions: motor vehicle mechanic, motor vehicle electromechanic, mechanic driver, cutting machine operator, car tinsmith, automation, locksmith, electrician, carpenter, baker, confectioner, cook, waiter, tailor, hairdresser, seller, photographer, logistics warehouseman, farmer, hotel service assistant.

The vocational schools have for many years cooperated with the companies operating in the city by the implementation of student practices, the establishment of fields of education in professions demanded on the market and the creation of the appropriate infrastructure for the development of vocational education with large support from companies.
