Location
Legnica lies in the centre of Lower Silesia, at a small distance from the border with the Czech Republic (66 km) and Germany (95 km), at a point where important transport routes intersect – Motorway A4, running from Western Europe to Ukraine, the National Road No. 3 and Expressway S3 under construction, running from the South of the continent to the Baltic Sea and Scandinavia. The railway line E-30 runs through the city, connecting Berlin, Dresden, Zgorzelec, Legnica, Wrocław, Katowice, Krakow, Przemyśl, Lvov and Kiev. The transport networks described above are part of the Pan-European Transport Corridor III, running from the East to the West.
