Road infrastructure:

  1. The construction of the missing fragment of the Legnica ring road in the course of the National Road No. 94

The purpose of the investment project is to build the Legnica ring road, enabling the creation of a consistent traffic system of roads A4, S3 (DK3) and DK94, of national and international significance, bypassing the centre of Legnica. The project is at the design stage.

 

  1. The construction of the Southern Collector Road in Legnica – Stage III between Rzeczypospolitej Avenue and Sikorskiego Street

Task at the stage of material implementation.

The Southern Collector Road in LegnicaStage III – takes road traffic from the largest   housing estates towards the centre of the City as well as towards the economic activity areas on the site of the former airport and farther through the transport system of  Myrka, Hangarowa and Streets being newly built to the LSEZ and towards Motorway A4. Moreover, the Southern Collector Road in LegnicaStage III – will connect with the South-Eastern Legnica Ring Road in the course of the National Road No. 94.

  1. Other important road investment projects:

  • The reconstruction of the National Road (DK) No. 94 in Legnica in Pocztowa and Piastowska Streets. An investment in the city center in the immediate vicinity of the Railway Station and hotel facilities. Task at the stage of material implementation.
  • The construction of the county road connecting the road built as part of S3 with Lotnicza Street in Legnica. Task at the design stage.
  • The reconstruction of Złotoryjska Street in Legnica. It takes traffic from the centre of the towards Expressway S3 and Motorway A4. Task at the design stage.
  • The reconstruction of Rzeczypospolitej Avenue in Legnica. The road leads to the economic activity area on the site of the former airport. The task is planned to be implemented from 2024.
  • Construction of the missing fragment of st. Szybowcowa from Lotników Roundabout to st. Spółdzielcza. The investment will provide comprehensive service for the economic area of the former airport. Task at the design stage.
  • "Reconstruction of the intersection of st. Jaworzyńska with a municipal road to the turbine roundabout in Legnica, in order to improve the conditions of service and development of investment areas". Estimated date of completion of the investment in 2026.

 

Railway infrastructure

  1. The revitalisation of the railway line No. 284 in the Legnica – Złotoryja – Jerzmanice Zdrój section (on the initiative of the Self-Government of Lower SilesiaVoivodship). The purpose of the investment project is to connect Legnica and Złotoryja and to incorporate the Złotoryja County into the regional passenger transport network, thus ensuring high-quality collective transport on the transport route in place connecting Złotoryja and Legnica with Wrocław.
  2. The expansion of the railway line No. 289 between Legnica and Rudna Gwizdanów (the construction of the second track, in partnership with the interested self-governments, the Self-Government of the Voivodship will prepare a feasibility study for the investment project).

Electricity prepared on the basis of the "Assumptions to the plan for the supply of heat, electricity and gaseous fuels for the city of Legnica for the years 2020-2035" adopted by Resolution No. XXV/324/20 of the Legnica City Council on November 30, 2020.

Investment plans of Tauron:

  • Length of the new electricity network:
    • 2025: LV – 1,500 m, MV – 1,500 m,
    • 2035: LV – 4,000 m, MV – 3,500 m.
  • The number of new transformer stations (20 kV/0.4 kV):
    • 2025: 4 sites – Nowodworska Street, part of the Sienkiewicz Housing Estate, part of the New Housing Estate, Kertyńskiego, Myrka, Gumińskiego and Jaworzyńska Streets, Zwycięstwa Avenue;
    • 2035: 6 sites – Pocztowa, Skarbowa, Parkowa, Lotnicza, Chojnowska, Żołnierska, Marynarska, Żytnia, Prusa, Leszczyńska, Sierocińska, Boiskowa and Jaworzyńska Streets;
  • Length of the modernised electricity network:
    • 2025: LV – 2,000 m, MV – 2,500 m, HV – 1,000 m,
    • 2035: LV – 4,000 m, MV – 4,000 m, HV – 1,000 m.
  • The number of modernised transformer stations:
    • 2025: 15 sites – the Old Town, Zakaczawie, the Kopernik Housing Estate,
    • 2035: 20 site – Zakaczawie, the Sienkiewicz Housing Estate, the Piekary Housing Estate.

The construction of new MV and LV electrical facilities will result from the need to connect users, in accordance with the Act on Energy Law and its implementing regulations, and to meet the higher energy demand from existing users.

Gas prepared on the basis of the "Assumptions to the plan for the supply of heat, electricity and gaseous fuels for the city of Legnica for the years 2020-2035" adopted by Resolution No. XXV/324/20 of the Legnica City Council on November 30, 2020.

In the nearest time, there are no plans to build new regulating/regulating and metering stations in Legnica. However, there is a plan to expand the Legnica Bartoszów gas station to Q = 25,000 m3/h in order to enhance the capacity of gas transmission to users located in Legnica. Moreover, there is a plan to carry out “The modernisation of the gas pipeline from Biernatki to Legnica Beyond the Smelter, including the construction of a DN300/250 gas pipeline with enhanced medium pressure, along with the accompanying facilities and infrastructure necessary for its operation, to replace the existing worn-out gas pipeline in this section.

Water and wastewater

The investment plans of the Legnica Water Supply and Wastewater  Collection Enterprise Co. Ltd. for 2022 to 2023 include, among others:

  • The reconstruction of the water and wastewater network in the Southern Collector Road in Legnica - Stage III
  • The construction of a water and wastewater network east of the Sienkiewicz Housing Estate – the Airport.
